If your kids are obsessed with vehicles, the Transport Museum in Covent Garden is not to be missed. Filled with classic British transportation from throughout the years, try your hand at conducting a bus or hop on board the world’s first Tube train.

Head to the Natural History Museum to get up close and personal with a gigantic T-Rex dinosaur, gaze at a gigantic blue whale skeleton, and meet a whole host of other fascinating creatures. Be sure to catch the Wildlife Photographer of The Year exhibit which is there until 30th June 2019.

Blast off to space on an Apollo mission or become an investigative scientist for the day at the Science Museum, South Kensington. This highly interactive museum, which includes an IMAX 3D cinema, has something for everyone, from boisterous toddlers through to hard-to-please teenagers, making your trip a lot more stress free.

  1. Enjoy springtime in the Royal Parks

The weather is certainly looking to be pleasant this half term and what better way for your children to enjoy some fresh air than in the Royal Parks. St James’s Park, Green Park and Hyde Park are all just a stone’s throw away from DUKES and are ideal locations to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Take a walking tour through these tranquil settings, stopping at sights such as St James’s Palace, Clarence House, Kensington Palace and the most famous of all, Buckingham Palace.

Let DUKES take the hassle out of making lunch arrangements and enjoy a traditional Picnic In The Park while surrounded by the beautiful scenery. Specially selected and prepared by our executive chef and his team, your delicious hamper of food will have everything you need to enjoy an outdoor lunch, including a picnic rug and cutlery. We even have a dedicated picnic menu especially for the children!

  1. Be dazzled in the West End

Going to see a musical at a theatre in the West End is a truly magical experience and one your children won’t forget. There are plenty of shows suitable for kids – make sure to ask if there is a minimum age before you book tickets this half term.

Disney classics such as the Lion King and Aladdin are popular choices for younger one, filled with spectacular scenery and popular songs. The Lion King is celebrating its 20th year at the Lyceum Theatre and is still as popular now as when it was first debuted. Children of all ages (and adults) love the story of Simba, brought to life with dramatic scenery and amazing costumes. Although a relative newcomer to the West End, Aladdin is making a big impact. Be transported to a far-off land at the Prince Edward Theatre and join him on his Arabian adventures.
